The new collection, Ardan, which is the Irish word meaning “high aspiration” is a collection that is designed for a new younger consumer with a contemporary attitude. The Ardan collection, in itself, represents to the consumer high aspiration – the range price points are more accessible than core patterns currently available allowing the consumer enter into the world of Waterford at a more comfortable price point. The range features product rooted in modernity of design and function- featuring Waterford quality materials and great attention to detail. The collection is designed to be used every day, as well as, for more dressy occasions. With simple and modern design functionality, this collection is completely versatile and elegant, yet very Waterford in spirit. Two new patterns make up the first collection (there will be more)—called Enis and Mara– that can be mixed and matched, and compliment each other beautifully.
Enis – In Irish, it means “island”. The simple but beautiful design style of the Eniscollection was inspired by the silhouette of the striking Blasket Islands, located of the Southwest coast of Ireland. It features a scattered geometric design of deep wedge cuts.
Mara – The Irish meaning for “sea” draws its inspiration from the wild Atlantic ocean which borders the rugged west coastline of Ireland. The long and short deep vertical cuts represent the crest and troughs of the waves.
These two simple designs show the power and the beauty of nature’s elements. Waterford cutting is prevalent in the creation of these patterns, however, it is purposefully more simple to render a less fussy collection. Used alone or mixed and matched , Enis & Mara, work in harmony to compliment a contemporary way of living .
Both patterns are available in a full range of Barware, Stemware, Gifting and Entertaining essentials
