Served in Opulence
Reimagining the texture of handwoven Irish basket craft in crystal, the Opulence Collection delivers bold, structural details with presence. Each piece features interlaced cuts that bring brilliance and movement to the surface. The result is a collection that feels both sculptural and fluid, made to capture light, play with shadow, and hold attention.
In honor of the collection’s unveiling, Waterford commissioned a group of expert mixologists to create a series of cocktails that encapsulate the spirit of Opulence. Each recipe was created to balance flavor, form, and finish, specifically designed for the glass it’s served in.
With layered flavors and expert styling, these drinks are sure to impress.
PX Old Fashioned in the Opulence Tumbler
A considered twist on the classic, this version of the Old Fashioned deepens the profile with Pedro Ximénez sherry, a fortified wine known for its rich, raisin-like sweetness.
The result is smooth and full-bodied with warmth from the Scotch and softness from the sherry, served over ice and garnished with cassia bark and a Luxardo cherry. The drink finds its ideal match in the Opulence Tumbler thanks to its substantial weight, balanced form, and shimmering cut that reflects the complexity within.
Method
- Add the scotch, sherry, bitters to rocks glass with 2-3 large ice cubes, stir for 30 secs.
- Add the cinnamon stick and cherry to the glass, stir again with the cassia bark then leave for a minute to let the flavours merge and the ice to slightly loosen.
- Served in a Waterford Opulence Tumbler.
Pomegranate & Sumac Cosmopolitan in the Opulence Martini Glass
This reimagined cosmopolitan introduces a tart, spiced edge through pomegranate juice and sumac, a citrus-forward spice that balances the fruit’s natural sweetness.
Fresh lime keeps the profile bright and lifted, while the sumac-dusted clementine twist rounds out the cocktail’s floral notes.
Served in the Opulence Martini Glass, the drink takes full advantage of the glass’s sleek silhouette and wide rim, ideal for showcasing color and precise garnishes.
Method
- To make the twist, trim one end of the clementine peel into a point and one ends into a flat tip then trim the long sides to make a short and narrow wedge. Twist to make a spiral. Wet one end of the clementine twist with the drink mixture then dip in sumac to lightly coat.
- And the vodka, orange liquor, lime juice, pomegranate juice and sumac into a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake for 30 secs then leave for 1 min.
- Double strain into a chilled martini glass. Top with the twist.
- Serve in a Waterford Opulence Martini glass.
Spicy Paloma in the Opulence Highball Glass
Bright grapefruit and fresh lime form the base of this Paloma, with a kick of red chili and a hint of sea salt to sharpen the edges. It’s bold but balanced, with just enough heat to linger. A dusting of Tajín on the garnish adds texture and depth.
Served in the Opulence Highball Glass, the tall form and light-reflecting cuts amplify the drink’s freshness—making every pour feel crisp, clear, and elevated.
Method
- Add the sugar syrup, chilis, grapefruit juice, salt, tequila style ‘spirit’ and lime juice to a cocktail shaker filled with ice and shake for 30 secs. Leave for 2 mins for the flavors to infuse.
- Double strain into highball glass filled to the top with ice (top up with soda if you like).

A sparkling take on the classic Negroni, this version swaps spirits for botanical aperitif, citrus kombucha, and prosecco to deliver all the depth of the original with a lighter, brighter finish.
Garnished with rosemary and a twisted lemon peel, it’s fresh and aromatic with subtle complexity. The Opulence Champagne Flute lends elegance to the pour, its slender shape and faceted cut enhancing both the effervescence and visual clarity of the drink.
