A WATERFORD CHRISTMAS BY STEVE CORDONY
A WATERFORD CHRISTMAS
STYLED BY STEVE CORDONY
In early December, Waterford partnered with stylist Steve Cordony to host a series of intimate Christmas Masterclasses at the historic Elizabeth Bay House. Across three events held over two days, guests were welcomed into an immersive celebration of festive entertaining, craftsmanship and seasonal styling.
Each event began with a moment of celebration, as guests were greeted with a live entertainment and champagne served in Waterford Lismore Toasting Flutes. Within the grandeur of the heritage setting, the unmistakable brilliance of crystal set a refined tone for the experience to follow.
Hosted by Steve Cordony, the masterclass explored the art of creating a considered Christmas table and festive home. Adding a floral dimension to the evening, renowned florist Saskia Havekes of Grandiflora joined the session, guiding guests through arrangements styled in Waterford vases including Irish Lace, Lismore and Opulence. Each vessel highlighted the versatility of crystal — equally suited to sculptural floral displays and everyday elegance.
Throughout the space, Waterford’s Mastercraft Sculpted Christmas Trees and Night Before Christmas Cookie Jar were showcased as centrepieces of festive storytelling. Handcrafted at the House of Waterford in Ireland, these crystal icons reflected the brand’s enduring commitment to artistry and tradition.
Guests were also invited to explore a curated selection of Waterford’s festive collections, including Winter Wonders, Crystal Ornaments, New Year Firework and the expressive Elton John collection — offering inspiration for seasonal gifting and entertaining.
Set against live music and candlelit interiors, the Waterford Christmas Masterclass was an evening defined by thoughtful detail, shared celebration and the enduring beauty of crystal — a modern expression of festive tradition, styled with intention.
